Skateboard by Keith Haring

Framed Print of Keith Haring’s Skateboard. This striking pop-art print on canvas is entitled Skateboard and is a print of original artwork by Keith Haring.

Keith Haring is known for colourful, cartoon artworks and certain characters such as crawling babies, barking dogs and spaceships, he was an American artist whose pop art emerged from the New York City graffiti subculture of the 1980s. Much of Haring’s work includes sexual allusions that turned into social activism by using the images to advocate for safe sex and AIDS awareness.

Haring’s popularity grew from his spontaneous drawings in New York City subways to large-scale commissioned murals, he also produced more than 50 public artworks between 1982 and 1989, many of them created voluntarily for hospitals, daycare centres and schools.
